It is the season of renewal. Spring is unabashedly about tender and new. The underside of a newly unfurled leaf is as soft and delicate as our newborn’s skin. Sometimes we are so busy parenting, that we may feel, “who has time for unfurling leaves?” Fortunately, we don’t have to DO anything about the unfurling leaf, we can simply notice in awe.
In a more subtle way, each moment of everyday is a renewal. Every breath is a new beginning. There is an opportunity to simply notice in awe, without doing a thing, you can renew your heart and soul.
Try this….
Periodically throughout your day today, silently repeat, “this moment matters”. Then simply look, and listen. As you change your baby’s diaper, “this moment matters”, as you fill a cup of water, “this moment matters”, in downward facing dog while practicing yoga, “this moment matters”.
What we see, over time, is that each moment is new, a renewal and an opportunity.
May this practice of infinite springtime awaken your senses and your heart, may it renew you. “May this moment matter to you”.
