I was asked recently to write a guest post for What To Expect When You’re Expecting. I haven’t been posting in a long time. Instead I have been sorting out my priorities like a closet that is overflowing with junk. Instead of bringing stuff to goodwill, I asked myself, “Where do I want to place my attention, time, energy and love?” It turns out I want to spend more time with people in person, less time on the computer and social media. As much as I love to write about yoga and mothering, I love practicing more. I’m not sure how often I will be posting, but it will be when I feel inspired rather than on a social media publishing schedule. Until then feel free to get in touch. Here is the post and a link and as always I love your comments.
If I could give you one gift, it would be a yoga mat and then some quiet moments to practice. You don’t have to wear Lululemon or monastic robes to practice yoga. You don’t need hours a day. A few moments of yoga is to motherhood as a spring rain is to a garden — rejuvenating and sustaining.
