“Sometimes grace is a ribbon of mountain air that gets in through the cracks.”
-Anne Lamott
For the next three weeks I will be focusing on writing The Yoga of Parenting–The Book. Writing is hard work for me; sometimes scary, sometimes lonely. But like a good run or hot yoga session, it is worth the effort.
I have ribbons of mountain air, now I just have to allow for cracks. For me, cracks are the times I allow the truth to surface, even if that particular truth wasn’t what I was expecting and that truth is refreshing, it is grace.
Would you like to share your experiences? Have you had a moment, a day, a year, when it felt like yoga saved you? Have you ever felt hopelessly confused and yoga gave you some clarity? Are there ways your yoga practice has informed your parenting? You are part of a cutting edge group of parents who are transforming the face of parenthood through mindfulness, self-compassion, acceptance and self-awareness. Please leave a comment or get in touch. I would love to include your voice in the book. We are traveling together in new territory and our shared voices light the way.
“May we all be safe, may we all have grace, may we all have a ribbon of mountain air”.
